Nothing says weekend like the simplicity of waking up late to a feast of good food. Of course, it would be a downer if you’d still have to research the countless brunch options to choose from, so we’ve listed our favorite brunch spots in Brussels below.
1 La Fabbrica
Situated in the beautiful Tour & Taxis building, La Fabbrica offers the most extensive brunch you will find in Brussels. Expect an all-you-can-eat buffet with a enormous selection of food, all of which is beautifully presented. The selection contains classical breakfast options, fresh fruit, mezze style pasta and vegetables, delicious desserts, Italian pizza and even pizza with chocolate spread. It’s impossible to try it all, even if you’re VERY hungry.
What’s more they also provide animation for kids, like facepaint, a bouncing castle, circus tricks… so parents can eat and engage in conversations without too many interruptions.
- Price: 26 euros without drinks / 30 euros with a hot and a cold drink
- Address: Avenue du Port 86C, 1000 Brussels
- When? Every Sunday from 9:30 to 17:00
Situated in Chatelain, Tigermilk has an amazing design with colorful frames, dry flower bouquets, sturdy wooden tables, a red velvet couch and an imposing library. The brunch itself then is as colorful as the decoration and is inspired by South American flavours. The result is a delicious, extremely Instagrammable brunch that stands out from the ordinary.
There are four different formulas to pick from which each contain three savory dishes (like avocado toasts, sweet potatoes, quinoa bowl, chicken tacos…), a dessert (dulce de leche pancake, passionfruit tiramisu, NY cheesecake…), a hot drink and a cold drink.
- Price: 22 euros including a hot and a cold drink
- Address: Rue du Bailli 46, 1060 Ixelles
- When? Every Sunday from 11:00 to 14:30
3 Velvet Peck
If you can’t wait until Sunday to have brunch, Velvet Peck has got you covered. They serve brunch all day, and every day! The menu features yummy dishes like fluffy pancakes, granola bowls, eggs benedict, burgers and salads… Have a look at their beautiful Instagram page for inspiration. Beware that you’ll end up wanting it all though.
Situated near Place Sainte-Catherine, Velvet Peck is a proud member of the Peck family with five restaurants in Brussels. The decoration is very nice and homely, and on sunny days they also install a large outdoor terrace facing the fountain.
- Price: Between 8 and 13 euros per dish
- Address: Quai au Bois à Brûler 27, 1000 Bruxelles
- When? Every day from 9:00 to 16:00
4 Boentje Café
Situated on Place Colignon in Schaerbeek, Boentje is all about zero waste and fresh local products. The recycling spirit is also present in the interior design featuring old windows behind the counter to display the daily menu, upcycled crates, second-hand couches and vintage decoration elements like an old MOBIB validating machine. Although highly applaudable, this attitude isn’t imposed on all visitors, as you’ll first of all notice the laidback and welcoming vibe of the place.
In the weekend the eatery fills up quickly for brunch. There are two formula’s to choose from: Brunch découverte and Brunch gaufré, each of which come with an open buffet of fresh bread and home-made spreads. And while you’re enjoying your food, you’re also supporting Belgian producers and reducing waste. What a great combo!
- Price: 21 euros
- Address: Place Colignon 18, 1030 Schaerbeek
- When? Every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 15:00
